Up & Away in a Hot Air Balloon Handmade Greeting Cards

Hot air balloons can be so beautiful to see and provide a good view when you're in it although it does have its fair share of dangers.

But we're not here to scrutinize about the pros and cons of hot air balloons. I think they make pretty nice patterned papers and stamp image. They're graceful looking and colourful. No wonder they're such a popular image with some of the brands. So I've made two cards using the Dear Lizzy hot air balloon stamp and patterned paper from Echo Park Everyday Eclectic 6 X 6 paper pad. Please click on them to see them in full size.

The cloud stamp is also from the new Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm stamp set which I managed to get the last one..phewh. There was another stamp set but na da. And it just made an appearance asa part of the new collections the day before..haha. I added a white satin ribbon as a nice touch. A little bit big but I was inspired by a card from a popular company specializing in handmade cards for corporate companies.

The card looks so deliciously colourful, don't you think? I also used the Studio Calico Ephemera pack with 71 embellishment pieces including die cuts, flower brads, iridescent butterflies. Pretty pretty. I love packs like this because I got a lot of bangs from it.

Other embellishments include stickers from the Echo Park and Woodland Park die cut pieces.
